Supply Chainalytics takes a different approach than most others to get you reliable, trustworthy, and actionable insights quickly. We guide you through the 7 steps below to get your supply chain running smoothly at the most optimal cost:
1) Pre-engagement requirements: We meet with you 1 on 1 to determine your biggest supply chain challenges and understand the unique things that make your business tick. We evaluate whether we would be a good fit for your company and gather any assumptions for the analysis at this point (such as do you have a reliable forecast, what is your target inventory availability, etc).
2) Customer data gathering: This is where you gather the data needed for the analysis and put it into the provided templates. We keep the data gathering to a minimum and provide simple guides for extraction from the most common ERP systems.
3) Upload and data quality checks: Once the templates are complete you upload them to our secure portal on our website. All you data is encrypted and stored separately from anyone else ensuring that it is protected at all times. We then perform standard data quality checks to ensure accurate insights and work with you to remedy any potential data issues.
4) Custom analysis and reporting: This is where the magic happens. We run your data through our proprietary algorithms and processes to extract valuable insights about your supply chain. We then compile a custom report that outlines the most impactful actions you can take to optimize your supply chain. We also provide our Chainalytics Checkup to bring all the top actions across a variety of vectors in one easy-to-use view.
5) Delivery and explanation: after the initial analysis is complete, we sit down with you to go over all that we uncovered and answer your questions. We walk you through the insights and action plans you can take to maximize your benefits.
6) Customer actions: Now is the fun part - you get to take action on all the uncovered insights. We clearly outline your biggest opportunities and provide them in digestible chunks as well as show your anticipated changes over time. We further provide easy to use guides for each savings type to help you get started.
7) Ongoing monitoring: Your engagement includes access to the portal and report for at least 12 months, so you can upload new datasets as needed to track your progress over time. Supply Chainalytics tracks your starting point as well as your idealized state so you can always see the value you are deriving.
Unlike traditional software integration projects that can take anywhere from 6 months to multiple years or consultant engagements which take months to show value, the Supply Chainalytics approach can start delivering value in just 2 weeks. Because we have streamlined the process so aggressively, once we get your data we can crunch it very rapidly and get you back to doing what you do best while we take on the Analytics.
First, inventory savings and service level improvements are achieved by analyzing client planning parameters that affect safety stock and cycle stock and providing recommended changes based on inventory management best practices. Next, excess and obsolete inventory will be identified and flagged for action. Next, open purchase orders are reviewed and analyzed to identify any unnecessary orders which are flagged for deferment or cancellation. And lastly, any material that has an expiry date is reviewed for expiry risk and flagged for action.
The provided templates and data checks we go through as part of the intake process help to keep the data needs relatively low. We can also apply standard rules of thumb and industry guidelines where certain data elements may be missing. Ultimately though the quality of the analysis hinges on a certain level of data quality. If we discover an insurmountable issue with your data during the intake process we will let you know and either help you to get better quality data or end the engagement
Supply Chainalytics also has several consultants available at an additional cost if you would like a more hands-on approach. You still get access to our proprietary dashboards and metrics, but also a dedicated supply chain professional to help you get the most from the analysis.
We take you data security very seriously. All your data is controlled by you. Data is encrypted in transit and at rest on the industry-leading Google Cloud Platform stored in your own dedicated storage bucket. We are also happy to sign your companie's Non-Disclosure Agreement.
